New address. New theme. Time to get going again.
Sometimes you just have to start writing.
I’ve barely written for over a week now. My blog(s) lie fallow, writing project are stalled – and I’m frustrated. Sure, I’ve had a serious amount of admin and organising to do – and plenty of student contact time. I could say that I have writers’ block – but that would be a lie. I don’t really believe in writers’ block as an idea. It’s just procrastination or distraction wearing fancy suit and showing off its delusions of grandeur. I just haven’t been writing.
But I need to write. I need to blog. So, this morning, I’ve set aside the whole morning to just do writing tasks. Admin can wait until later. For now, I need to just start writing things.
And this is a start.
“Why’s this place so quiet?”
“Oh, the football’s on…”
(Panic) “Which match, which match…?”
Some fantastic images from RevStan here…
When I was a few years older than Hazel, The Very Hungry Caterpillar was my favourite book. How awesome is it that a few decades later, I can read the blog of the author and see his latest work?
A man in Lewisham Central, for example, lives for 70.8 years on average. In the Queen’s Gate ward, is in the affluent borough of Kensington and Chelsea, this figure is 88.3 years.
Lewisham Central – where I used to live – is bottom of the league for men's life expectancy in London.
So very, very glad that we got out.
It's a mashup… but YOU CAN DANCE to the Star Wars Cantina Band.
