Quick Review: Coasting

Finished reading: Coasting by ELISE. DOWNING 📚

I enjoyed this more than I expected. On the surface, it’s a book about a woman running around the coast of Britain. Deeper down, it’s about somebody suffering badly from self-doubt and low self-esteem slowly coming to see herself as others see her - in a good way.

It’s slightly tricky to get into, because she paints such a negative portrayal of herself at the beginning that you’re not sure that spending hours in her company will be fun. But push on through that, and it’s a good read.
